Animal Embassy, Stamford 

For Grades K-2 and 3-5: Perfect for any nature lover to help develop a deeper appreciation for exotic animals, as well as for our local wildlife and habitats. With access to over 100 rescued and adopted exotic animals residing in our public exhibit, as well as to the beautiful property of the Stamford Museum & Nature Center and surrounding woodland preserve.

For Grades 6-9 - Perfect for any child with a fascination of the Earth, an interest in animal husbandry, or in future careers in veterinary science, education or zoology. Camp Playland, New Canaan & Redding

 

Camp Playland is located on 18 beautifully wooded acres in New Canaan.  Owned and directed by the Bloom Family since 1957, Playland is a traditional summer day camp for boys and girls ages 3-14.  Activities include swimming in our three heated pools, athletics, archery, boating, fishing, ropes courses, golf, karate, arts & crafts, theater, science, and more!  Transportation and lunch is provided in Fairfield County. Camp Invention, Darien and Westport

Camp Invention is an amazing weeklong summer adventure where elementary students will brainstorm, create and invent without limits! Children will use real tools, circuits and materials from the Inventor Supply Room to build original prototypes. They also might take apart electronics to construct an epic, insect-themed pinball machine or create a multi-step invention to solve a challenge. Challenge camp, Westchester, NY

 

The Challenge Camp is celebrating its 34th year of offering summer enrichment learning opportunities for children aged 4-14 to realize their intellectual and personal potential. Challenge Camp is an ACA accredited camp located in Rye, New York on 18 picturesque acres. We offer over 100 courses ranging from architecture to chess to cooking to magic to model rocketry to video production and many options in between.  There are also sports options as part of the Afternoon Challenge.  We also offer bus transportation, early drop-off /extended day, or Kosher lunch options. Chelsea Piers Connecticut, Stamford

Chelsea Piers offers a variety of unique summer sports camps. More than 20 different sports camps will be available, ranging from half-day programs for preschool-aged children, to full-day developmental and elite level camps, to two sport combo camps and advanced power and pre-season training camps. A swimming/gymnastics combo camp joins the popular combo camp offerings. Two new preschool camps in swimming and tennis have been added. Aquatics has added a two-week competitive swim camp.  Multi-sport campers can add water polo.

Connecticut Friends School Summer Camp, Wilton

For young children, nurturing and experienced early childhood educators provide a fun, relaxed environment where children can make mud pies, build towers, read books, sing songs, splash in the water table, run through the sprinkler or just enjoy the summer with their friends.

Summer PaddleFit Camp for Kids Ages 6-9 and Teens - A week long program that teaches and develops paddling skills through a fitness program that is challenging, entertaining, and fun. Activities include paddle board polo, relays, sprints, and games. Includes longer paddles to places such as the Fish Dam upriver past Westport Center, and downriver to Cockenoe Island, the opportunity to try racing and demo a wide variety of Downunder's boards. At Earthplace, we use our 62-acre wildlife sanctuary for exploration, fun and learning. Frogs, tadpoles, butterflies, deer, turtles, salamanders, snakes, hawks, turkeys, and groundhogs are among the many wild animals students might see while enjoying our sanctuary.

Peak Performance, Stamford, Norwalk and Westport  

For kids ages 4-12, this camp offers a combination of traditional sports games like floor hockey, soccer, basketball, flag football, handball, wiffleball, physical education activities such as tag games, pinball, battleship, virtual space tag, north south, and various cooperative games. Children are divided by age into small groups and will participate in developmentally appropriate activities for their groups. Sydney Johnson Basketball Camp, Fairfield

Fairfield University Men's Basketball Coach Sydney Johnson will conduct his annual boys basketball camp this summer, offering three sessions on the University's campus. Two sessions will take place during the month of July and one session will be held in August. The camp is for boys who are six years old to entering the ninth grade. The day runs from 9 am to 3 pm with the exception of Fridays when camp dismisses at noon.

Wakeman Town Farm, Westport

Staples Enviormental Studies teacher and Farm Steward Mike Aitkenhead, have planned age-appropriate programs for kids K-5, middle school and high school. The groups will learn about sustainable farming through planning, planting and caring for an organic garden, feeding and caring for animals, and understanding the science behind raising a successful garden using both modern and time-honored technologies. Younger kids will delight in games, crafts, and food preparation using veggies straight from the gardens and older kids (apprentices) will get their hands dirty working on more challenging independent projects, which incorporate building, science and environmental studies, as well as the joys of spending time outdoors. With 10 camps in the mornings and afternoons for ages 4 to 12 from June to August, children can get creative in camps that will have them exploring new materials, techniques, and styles.
