Holiday Cards for Vets This holiday season, Jumbo Dog in Darien is teaming up to aid in the American Red Cross’ Holiday Cards for Vets initiative. The American Red Cross asks people to create special cards for military vets who find themselves in hospitals, shelters or bases in Connecticut and Rhode Island. We are reaching out to you (and your children!) to help us spread some joy to those who have served our country, and find themselves in less fortunate circumstances.
Please ask your child to draw a cheerful (holiday or other) picture for a vet. Jumbo Dog will scan the pictures and create a series of cards that will be sent to the American Red Cross for distribution.
