Cool Book Giveway! Local writing instructor and author, Christine Pakkala (www.christinepakkala.com), delivers the second installment in her popular, Last-But-Not-Least-Lola series geared for readers grades 2-5; ages 7-10. Lola and the Wild Chicken (Boyds Mills Press/September, 2014) is the story of spirited Lola Zuckerman, her changing friendships, and a crazy encounter with a chicken on a field trip! The series launch title, Going Green, is out in paperpack and just won the “Green Prize for Sustainable Literature” for its eco-friendly theme. Both titles have earned Starred Reviews and wonderful acclaim for both their editorial content and illustrations by Paul Hoppe. What's more, Highlights Magazine has just featured her on their website's "Author Spotlight" page. Ms. Pakkala has also penned the stand alone title, Jasmine and Maddie, which sports an anti-bullying theme and is perfect for grades 4-7; ages 9-12. Be the first to post a comment and win BOTH books signed by Westport’s own, Christine Pakkala!
