CATHY'S CORNER: Hello, Summer 2016

June 24, 2016

"The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep." - Robert Frost

It’s only the first week of summer and I’m already sunburned, bug bitten, and exhausted from driving around like an Uber and keeping the kids entertained and off their electronics. For those who are staying local and in the same boat, I’ve compiled a list of my favorite playgrounds in Fairfield County. Please feel free to add yours to the list. In case it rains, I’ve also got some cool indoor play options as well as
a list of summer camps and programs so check it out if you need ideas.

As always, I welcome your feedback so please email me at catherines@macaronikid.com or submit a comment below. Did I miss something? Please let me know! Have a great week ahead.  Cathy

Coming next week: July 4th parades, fireworks and more!

Unplug and head outside. Saturday June 25th is the National Wildlife Federation's annual family event, Great American Backyard Campout. Check out the campout at the New Canaan Nature Center and spend a unique night under the stars. As folks are finishing up the tasty treats from the grill, all are invited to enjoy field games, camp fire, hikes, music and all around fun.Pre-registration is required, please call 203-966-9577 ext 20 to register.
