Sparklicious (located at 28 Main St. in historic Georgetown) has partnered up with The Book Blossoms from NYC to bring their wonderful book club program to Fairfield County, CT. The program, geared toward children ages 5-7, is designed to transform the traditional book club into an experience so children discover the joy of reading books while also connecting with their peers and developing valuable friendships.
Sparklicious is now accepting registrations for The Book Blossoms Book Club which is being offered in two 3-week sessions, one in June and the other in August.
On May 22nd from 10 - 11:30AM, Sparklicious is hosting a free preview of this program! This event will give kids an idea for what the book club program will be like. They will read aloud and discuss a book, try dramatic role play, creative writing, art projects and more. At the end of the event, parents of children who especially enjoyed the trial class will have the opportunity to sign their child up for the book club program in June and August.
Each class consists of 8-12 children and offers:
- Interactive Discussions
- Read Aloud
- Dramatic Role Play
- Creative Writing
- Art Projects
- Special Guests
- Dinner

About The Book Blossoms
The Book Blossoms began in the summer of 2015 when New York City mom and teacher, Sharon Marcus was faced with a dilemma. How would she continue to engage her 7 year old daughter Maya in reading over the summer? Sharon decided to start a small weekly book club in her apartment with Maya's 10 friends. The kids read aloud and wrote in their notebooks, created art projects, choreographed dances and read together in dramatic role play. Suddenly the children were so excited to read books! Since then, The Book Blossoms have become THE place for children to discover their joy of reading through a creative and artistic approach while also building connections and friendships!
