Rising Starr Horse Rescue, located in Wilton, CT is committed to helping children, teens, and adults develop self confidence through riding. We offer an exciting and enriched learning environment for the mind, body, and soul. What better way to learn communication, work and developmental skills than by having fun?  Our riders are trained at a level often found only in Competitive show barns, but we teach at that level without the pressure. Kelly Stackpole, owner and trainer has 34 years experience training riders and horses.

We encourage teamwork while teaching independence. The result is amazing, remarkable confidence and the feeling of empowerment that comes from working with horses and learning to become an effective rider, partner and caregiver. We have riders of all ages, male and female. We welcome all levels and disciplines of riding, whether it be English which is our primary or Western. Our instructors individualize each rider's program to suit their personal goals. The first and foremost concern of Rising Starr Horse Rescue is the safety and happiness of each of our riders and horses. We offer many programs and are open all year long. Come visit us and experience horse ownership and friendship for yourself. Fully Insured.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Kelly Stackpole has been teaching riders and training horses professionally for more than thirty years. After more than two decades teaching and training at the national level, Kelly decided her true passion was to teach non-competitively so that she could guide both students and horse owners to become 100% involved in the process of horse ownership and as a result form a significant and bonded relationship with their horses.

Kelly started Rising Starr Horse Rescue as a way to give back to the animals she loves and to give all children a place where they can participate and express their own love of horses.
