Honored essayist and publicist, Aline Weiller, will have a book signing at Westport’s Scout & Molly’s holiday shopping event, “Books & Boutique Buys,” on Thursday, December 12 from 6:00 - 8:00. All are invited to meet the author, mingle, and enjoy with a 15% off discount on store items. The event will feature on-trend and holiday-ready ladies wear, jewelry, accessories, light refreshments, goody bags, and a door prize. Weiller’s love affair with writing has been woven through both her career and personal life. Prior to running the public relations firm, Wordsmith, LLC, she worked in the marketing arena for The Coca-Cola Company, Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., and Time Warner, Inc., where she wrote copy, developed marketing strategies, and spearheaded promotional campaigns. Since 2017, Weiller has flexed her comedy writing muscle to boot, having performed stand-up at Gotham Comedy Club in Manhattan, The Ridgefield Playhouse, Scarsdale’s Jackie B’s, and at various NY Metro area clubs and fundraisers. In addition to accolades for her nonfiction and PR work, the author’s essays are contest-winners and have been chosen for dramatic readings. Weiller’s been published nationally in Brain, Child Magazine, Grown & Flown, and Erma Bombeck’s Writers’ Workshop, among others, and her essays have been tweeted by The New York Times.
