Local eateries with outdoor seating and spectacular views
We are lucky to have a variety of restaurants and cafes that provide charming patio spaces where we can savor our favorite meals outdoors. Here are three of my family's favorite new restaurants with outdoor seating. Check them out if you haven't already, but be sure to call ahead.

My favorite picnic spots
Grab and Go to the Park! National Eat Outside Day is the perfect excuse to pack up a picnic and head to the nearest park or beach for an outdoor feast!
Three of the best spots for a picnic? My family loves:
Tod's Point, Greenwich
Non-residents need to purchase a parking and day pass, but it's worth it! Great concession stand, or you can pick up food at Balducci's or Aux Delices. There's also a wonderful boat ride called the Cruise to Nowhere, pack a picnic and enjoy!
Harbor Point, Stamford
Tons of great new restaurants, water taxi, outdoor yoga, walking path. Check out Sign of the Whale or Mexicue
Compo Beach, Westport
Try the lobster rolls at Hook'd, the new concession, or Granola Bar.

Take it to the backyard
Rather eat at home? Order takeout and take that picnic right outside on your front stoop, or back lawn! For an at-home outdoor dining feast, my family loves to get takeout from the new taco place Tacombi in Westport, or Stew Leonards, Aux Delices, Garlic & Herbs, or Balduccis.
If time is tight? A simple PBJ on the porch will do the trick just fine!
