This Weekend: Seal Spotting and Birding Cruises at Maritime Aquarium

The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk is offering Seal-Spotting and Birding Cruises on Sat., Feb. 12 at 1:30 p.m. & Sun., Feb. 13 at 2 p.m. Cruise out in hopes of seeing some of the seals that spend the winter months off the Norwalk Islands. Educators also will point out wintering waterfowl. Offered on many weekends through April 10. Dates and times vary by the tides. 2 hours. Next cruises: Sat., Feb. 26 & 27. Must be at least 42 inches tall. Tickets: $34 ($30 Aquarium members). Advance purchase strongly recommended; walk-up tickets sold, space permitting. Also, don't miss the aquarium's new seal exhibit, “Pinniped Cove.” Cheer on the Aquarium’s five harbor seals as they explore a 160,000-gallon, 22-foot-deep habitat that is now the largest aquatic display in the Aquarium’s 33-year-history. Guests can view the seals from three sides and two levels: underwater, through floor-to-ceiling windows on the first floor; and above the surface on the second floor.

COVID-19 Protocols: Advance online purchase required. Masks are required for all guests age 2 and older, no matter their vaccination status.
