In this time between Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, I’m literally being flooded with holiday ideas, products, pitches, and sales, as I’m sure you are too. My kids have already sent me their “wish lists” of presents they want (it’s also their birthdays soon).
It all goes too fast and every year, it’s the same thing over and over again. And as I rush around like a turkey, I try reflect on what I want this holiday season to be. I want to stop and breathe, and realize how time flies and think about gratitude, giving, and family. Then, I hope to read my kids a book or two, bake cookies and spend quality time together in front of the fire, playing outside, going for a walk or simply drinking hot chocolate. Because before we know it, next year will be upon us. Here’s to getting what really matters: time together.
