Great Idea: Creatacard App

Create One of Kind Keepsakes

By Catherine Siroka, Editor August 21, 2014

My 7 year old son Preston loves to make cards for birthdays, Valentines, holidays, and always sends pictures of airplanes he draws to Grandma. He also loves playing on my iPad. Now, instead of playing a video game or watching a show, he can put his creativity to good use with the new Creatacard™ app from American Greetings

This new app, exclusively for iPad, lets kids create a card, personalize it with their own designs and photos, sign it and have it professionally printed and sent directly to their favorite people…anywhere in the world!

How it works:

Download the app (free to download). Then set your little one to work expressing their creativity with an array of tools including crayons, paint, stickers, stamps and chalk in a rainbow of colors. Kids can add their own photos and enhance them with fantastic frames. Their signature on the card confirms it is an original work of art.

Once done, your child will be prompted to grab a grownup and, for $3.49, will be professionally printed and mailed. This is the first and only app that brings your child’s imagination to life as a professionally printed greeting card. Now parents and children can now enjoy time on the iPad together. Get a "handmade" card without the mess, professionally printed and delivered. Once finished, your child can track the card’s journey from its creation all the way through the post office and delivery with the adorable “Where’s My Card?” option.

Get the free Creatacard app for iPad now in the iTunes App Store, and don’t forget to look for the upcoming Pick-A-Card option with a wide variety of card templates featuring your child’s favorite characters like Strawberry Shortcake™, Thomas the Tank Engine, Hello Kitty® and more.

Macaroni Reminder: Grandparents Day is Sunday, September 7. Create your cards by August 28 to make sure grandma and grandpa receive their cards in time for their special day!
