PET OF THE WEEK: Andrew

Hobo

August 15, 2014

Andrew came to Paws as a stray. He'd been living on the streets for some time and was dirty and very matted and thus earned the name Hobo. He went to the vet for his neuter and came back with a lion cut. After that, he wasn't much of a Hobo, so his name became Andrew.

Andrew is FIV+. Being FIV+ won't keep him from living a long healthy life though. It just means that his immune system isn't as strong as other cats and he has to be careful about not catching a cold or anything like that. He can't transmit FIV to people or to dogs, but since I don't like dogs, I hope I don't go to a home with them.

Some people will say that I should be an only cat or with other cats that are FIV+. I hang out with other non-FIV+ cats all the time and don't have a problem with them. Any way works for me, but to be honest I think I would really like a home with children to play with. I am very playful and love to run around. I love to be picked up too and I give the best hugs (if I do say so myself).

Andrew is neutered, current on all his vaccinations, micro-chipped, and has tested negative for FeLV.
