Cathy's Corner: Turning Thoughts Into Action?

January 19, 2017
"Stay afraid, but DO it anyway. What's important is the action." Carrie Fisher

For those of you who are frustrated with the status quo and might be looking to start a business, take a class, change your body, rethink your life, fix your community, save the world, or help your family or kids - change is easier said than done, and often starts and ends with ourselves. It’s easy to complain, to worry, to wonder, to compare yourself to others. I know, because I do it every day. So how does one turn thoughts into action?

Inspired by Gretchen Rubin's book, The Happiness Project, I want to revisit my own personal Happiness Project for 2017 and am encouraging you to do the same. There is no magic bullet and, for most of us, the changes will be small. But sometimes the smallest changes can make the biggest difference. For me, I'm hoping to join the local Women’s March in Stamford this Saturday January 21 at 12 at Mill River Park - 1010 Washington Blvd. More info here. Perhaps a good peaceful march in solidarity with others is just what it takes to kickstart some positive change.

I welcome your thoughts and wish you every success whatever your goals. As always, please email me at catherines@macaronikid.com or submit  your comments below. Remember to check out my facebook page for more updates, deals and ideas.
