"Bittersweet October: the mellow, messy, leaf-kicking, perfect pause between the opposing miseries of summer and winter." Carol Bishop Hipps
Even though I was not in much of a pumpkin mood today, Preston officially decorated the house with a huge fuzzy spider in the front and picked out some pumpkins that need to be carved. It may not be the biggest display on the block, but he’s happy to show anyone who stops by. Aside from the decorations, we've been sampling a lot of candy. There's still so much to explore though - we plan to visit a spooky house, take a hayride, attend a festival and plan a scenic hike to enjoy the fall foliage. How about you? With sports and other activities, these weekends are limited but there is a LOT going on this fall in our area, so check my updated Fall Activities Guide and get some ideas while the weather is still nice!
