Fun Ideas If You're Staying Local

Here are a few ideas for camps and other indoor actitivities for all ages and stages. Keep checking back for updates. Let me know your thoughts.

Chelsea Piers
 in Stamford offers Little Athletes, Ice Hockey, Squash, Multi-Sport and Gymnastics drop in activities listed here. Or just get a day pass and splash around in the indoor water park or play on the open fields. Reservations required.

Peak Performance All Sports Vacation Camp in Westport and Stamford. 
All our camps are for boys and girls ages 4-12 years old February 18, 19, 20 & 21Children will have the chance to play various sports and games. Visit them online for more information. My boys loooved this camp!

Westport Weston YMCA variety of special programs to keep kids occupied and having fun including a week long camp. Starting Monday, the Family Y’s popular Hafaday Swim Lesson Program for children ages 4 to 8 years old will also take place. 

At the Maritime Aquarium, children 6 - 12 can study otter behaviors, build a lava lamp, stock a real salt-water aquarium and lots more in special programs at The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk. For ages 6 to 9, there’s a different topic each day. Sign up for one, some or all five.  Ages 9 to 12 can take part in the five-day “Junior Marine Biologist” class. Program hours are 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.

Explore the Stamford Museum & Nature Center and celebrate their newest exhibition. 

Does your child like to tinker or play computer games? Check out Zaniac in Greenwich or 
Code Ninjas in Stamford.  

Legoland Discovery Center Westchester. At LEGOLAND guests can enjoy activities such as searching for hidden snowmen in MINILAND and learning how to build a LEGO® in the Master Builder Academy. With two rides and a 4D theater in addition to all the LEGO® brick fun, the kids will be entertained for hours. Visit them online for tickets and info.

Nutmeg Bowl and Play Space, Fairfield. Expanded hours for their indoor playspace and bowling alley. Visit them online  or call  203-367-7741.

Bowl Mor, Norwalk - for bowling, laser tag, arcade games and more! 

Sky Zone, Norwalk - indoor trampoline play space. Great for all ages. 

My 3 Sons Norwalk - arcade, bouncy space, laser tag, game tables, great for parties. 

RPM Raceway Stamford - indoor go-karts, arcade, restaurant, VR gallery. Something for everyone. 

Stepping Stones, Norwalk. Check out their special vacation week happenings, daily crafts and Around the World events. Visit them online.

Pump It Up Norwalk, Huge indoor inflatibles and slides. Visit them online for more information about their special jumps and sensory jump times. Call 203-838-5867 to register.

Beardsley Zoo, Bridgeport. Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo recently welcomed Nigerian Dwarf goat triplets who now join two siblings. All five kids will be on exhibit through Spring. Also, be sure to visit their Tropical Winter Greenhouse, a tropical paradise. As you stroll through, you can see several species flowering. It's a short walk through another world!

Bruce Museum, Greenwich. check out their newest exhibits and parent -child programs. Visit online for more info.
