So today Rescued in the Nic of Time had the opportunity to meet "Peek-A" & her angel.. Ron. Peek-A has been living in abandoned factory for who knows how long in a rough inner city. I can only imagine what she has been through but she has some war wounds to show. It was told by the locals that she has been in the area for sometime & they would feed her on occassions. Looking at her you can tell she wasn't fed on a regular basis. A gentle man heard about her & wanted to help... & Peek-A did not refuse the help. He opened his door, she jumped in & off they went! He has been feeding her & has been providing a safe place for her to rest. He even took her to the vet & she was recently vaccinated!
Peek-A is.... a lab? pit? hound? australian cattle dog? Who the hecks knows! What we do know is she is young in age about 2-3 years old. Female. Vaccinated. Fetches. Listens very well. Loves long car rides. Peek-A is blind in one eye due to an unknown injury but she functions perfectly well!
Although she is safe, the location she is staying at is not ideal. She belongs in a home with her forever family.

Rescued in the "Nic" of Time is dedicated to rescuing any breed of dogs that are in need. By working with our foster homes, our local veterinarian & our huge support of networkers, we are able to rescue more & more animals throughout the year. We provide loving temporary care in our fosters homes & provide everything that is needed to nurture the dog back to themselves. We also go through an application, home check, reference check & meet n' greet to ensure the fur-ever home is fit for the new family & the dog. We also serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership.
